Public Address Announcements

  • Sports announcements:

Last Night:
A. The girls' modified basketball team lost to Alburgh,
B. The boys' modified basketball beat Alburgh in overtime.

Tonight's games:
A. The junior varsity and varsity boys' basketball teams travel to Fairfax for a scrimmage. The bus will leave at 5:00 for a 6:00 JV start.
B. The 8th Grade boys' and girls' basketball teams will open their season tonight hosting Montgomery. The girls' game starts at 6:00 and the boys' game starts at 7:00.

  • Middle School Wood Shop students:  Please report to room C8 for today (Thursday) only.

 

  • There will be mandatory yearbook meeting Friday at 3:00 pm.  All must attend.
  • Attention all students and staff:  MVU’s annual toy drive will begin right after Thanksgiving break and will run through the 1st week of December.  So bring a toy and get a coupon for a free Sweetie Pie Christmas cookie on Wednesday in December.

 

  • Attention all students Christmas cookies and whoopie pies will be on sale every Wednesday and Thursday in December so bring extra money on those days!
  • Any student needing to ride a bus to the Swanton School for Basketball practices after school should ride Bus #30.

 

  • Highgate Recreation Department’s “Public Skating” and “Stick and Puck” schedule will be posted in the High School office and at the front desk. 
  • Attention all Skit Nite participants and advisors:  Please take out all of your props and other belongings by Friday, November 21st from back stage or they will be thrown away on Monday.

 

    • Teen Skate: Grades 7th – 12th at the Highgate Sports Arena on Saturday, November 22nd from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm.  Admission is $3.00.  Music and snack bar.  Sponsored by the Highgate Recreation Department.
  • Attention all Juniors:  Parking passes are available in the High School office.  Please remember to only park where you see the blue painted fence in the junior parking lot.  All other spots should remain clear.  Do not park near the woods, before the backstop or anywhere near the grounds equipment. 

 

  • “College and military visits here at MVU"…………Juniors and Seniors:  Stop by the Guidance Office to pick up a form for visiting one specific college representative, or use the “blanket” form to meet with any college representative.  Bring your signed blanket release to Guidance and ask for a pass to any college visits you wish to attend.
